Environmental Series: Eco-anxiety with Psychotherapist Andrew Bryant
To kick off our environmental health series, we had an amazing conversation with Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist, Andrew Bryant of Climate & Mind - an organization dedicated to education and support on the topic of eco-anxiety. Andrew reminds us how crucial it is to recognize the signs of eco-anxiety and preserve our relationship between the environment and our overall wellbeing. He helps clients cope with concerns involving the climate emergency and also wants us to understand the beauty around us and how "exposure to nature and connection to our natural environment facilitates health while making us more satisfied, happy and healthy." Andrew helped us untangle the concerns that many of us face when deciding to be parents and bringing another person into this world or the worries associated with leaving our children a place on this planet.
Sean, McKenna, and Kate discuss their own ecological concerns and environmental grief.
